Terms of Use

By downloading or using Colinear, these terms automatically apply to you, so please read them carefully before using the app.

The licence

Colinear is licensed to you, not sold. You’re not allowed to copy or modify the app, any part of it, or my trademarks in any way; attempt to extract the source code; or translate the app or make derivative versions. The app itself, and all trademarks, copyright, database rights, and other intellectual property rights related to it, remain the property of Justin Guedes. Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

Your Linear account

Colinear connects to Linear on your behalf. Your use of Linear itself is governed by Linear’s terms, and you’re responsible for having the right to access the workspaces you sign in to. Colinear is an independent app and isn’t affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Linear.

Changes to the service

I am committed to making the app as useful and efficient as possible, and reserve the right to make changes to the app or to charge for its services at any time and for any reason. I will never charge you for the app or its services without making it very clear to you exactly what you’re paying for.

Your device

You’re responsible for keeping your phone and access to the app secure. I recommend that you do not jailbreak or root your phone — it could make your phone vulnerable to malware and compromise its security features, and it could mean Colinear won’t work properly or at all. You should also make sure your device stays charged; if it runs out of battery and you can’t turn it on to use the Service, I can’t accept responsibility.

Connectivity and data charges

Some functions of the app require an active internet connection. I can’t take responsibility for the app not working at full functionality if you don’t have access to Wi-Fi or mobile data, or if you have used up your data allowance. If you use the app outside an area with Wi-Fi, your mobile provider’s terms still apply, and you may incur data or roaming charges. By using the app you accept responsibility for such charges, including from third parties who pay for your device’s data plan, for whom you must have permission.

Reliance on the app

Linear’s API and services may change or be unavailable in ways outside my control. While I endeavour to keep the app updated and correct, I rely on third parties to provide information so that I can make it available to you, and I accept no liability for any loss, direct or indirect, that you experience as a result of relying wholly on this functionality of the app.

Updates and termination

I may from time to time update the app, which is currently available for iOS — the requirements for the system may change, and you’ll need to download the updates if you want to keep using the app. I don’t promise that the app will always be updated so that it is relevant to you or compatible with the iOS version on your device. I may also wish to stop providing the app and may terminate its use at any time without notice. Unless stated otherwise, upon any termination the rights and licences granted to you in these terms will end, and you must stop using and, if needed, delete the app.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time; changes are posted on this page, and the date above reflects the latest revision. These terms were originally effective as of 1 August 2023.
